Course Description:
United States History is designed to help students understand and interpret the history of the United States after 1865. The course will discuss political, economic, and social trends in the United States from the end of the Civil War through the recent past. This course will deal with the vast scope of complex issues that has shaped America throughout its history. Students will learn about these prominent national events, historical milestones around the world, and the general study of history.
Prerequisite: Successful completion of World Cultures or teacher recommendation
Course Length: 2 SemestersCredits: 1 Credit
Please Note: This course is offered virtually or independently based on teacher and SLA recommendation. AP United States History may also be taken in place of this course to satisfy a student’s History requirement.
