Physics

Course Description:
Physics by definition is the branch of science concerned with the nature and properties of matter and energy. In this course, students will do several hands-on labs to investigate the concepts of acceleration, forces, momentum, and energy in the first semester. In the second semester, students will use more computer simulations to explore the concepts of atomic energy, waves, electricity and magnetism, circuits, and thermodynamics. Overall, the course is a blend of scientific concepts and math problems that validate those concepts. Students taking this course should be proficient in algebra, and have a strong interest in science and problem solving.

Prerequisite: Successful completion of Algebra and Biology
Course Length: 2 SemestersCredits: 1 Credit
