Course Description:
Assignments/lessons include reading, analyzing, writing, rewriting, and discussing creations by renowned authors throughout a wide span of history. With intensive concentration on composition skills and on author’s narrative techniques, this course equips students with strategies for success in college, in a career, and on the AP exam. Assessments can be in the form of writing assignments, to include creative writing (essays, reflective responses, style emulations, etc.) and analytical writing (comparison/ contrast, literary analysis, AP style essays, etc.), AP multiple choice questions, short answer assignments, oral assessments, and discussions.
Prerequisite: English 9 and Communications or American Literature or Administrative discretion.
Course Length: 2 Semesters
Credits: 1 Credit
