How To Apply
Step 1 - Download Application
Download or save the Alternative Enrollment Application form before completing it electronically.
Step 2 - Complete Application
When applying, you will choose the Northern Ozaukee School District as your nonresident school district of choice. Wisconsin Virtual Learning will be your school of choice. We also encourage families to choose "best interest of the pupil" as the reason for applying for alternative enrollment. Please include a statement as to why you believe it is in your student's best interest to enroll in WVL, as well as explain why you believe your student would do well in a virtual school setting. We ask that high school applicants submit a copy of their most recent high school transcript. We use transcripts for scheduling purposes only, should your student be accepted for enrollment. Additionally, the application must be signed in order for it to be considered complete.
Step 3 - Submit Your Application
Your completed Alternative Enrollment Application and supporting documents: statement of “best interest” and high school transcripts (if applicable) should be submitted to Ann Baumann, District Registrar by email to:
abaumann@nosd.edu*
*Emailing your application as an attachment is the fastest way to submit and process your application.

Step 4 - Processing Your Application
It can take up to 20 days for your application to be approved. Both WVL and your resident school district will need to approve your application before your student is considered enrolled. You will receive an approval or denial email and letter from Ann Baumann once the application process is complete.
Step 5 - Find Success
Your student will be assigned a Student Learning Advocate (SLA). Parents, learning coaches, and students will work together with their SLA to create a customized learning plan. Your SLA will be available to help answer questions along the way.
