2017-18 Alternative Open Enrollment

Are you considering enrolling your student in a virtual school? While open enrollment in Wisconsin has closed, you have the option to participate in the alternative open enrollment. Learn more about that process and why a parent or guardian would consider utilizing the alternative enrollment option.

Alternative Enrollment Process

The Alternative Enrollment Program is designed to assist parents who may have missed the Open Enrollment Period and would like their child to participate in Open Enrollment. This window opens July 1st, 2017 and will continue throughout the school year.

The Alternative Enrollment Program requires the parent to specify at least one of the allowable criteria upon which the request is based and provide an explanation of the circumstances leading to the open enrollment request.  After completing the forms, the parent must sign and submit them for review, along with any additional documentation.
